Start Your Day With The Perfect Shower
What better way to start your day than with a shower? A refreshing shower sets you up for the day ahead and puts a spring in your step. So a poor shower experience can feel like a real let down. Not all showers are the same and range from amazing to downright unsatisfactory. However, there are certain things you can do to ensure you don’t have to put up with a sub-standard shower in your own home. Here are a few things to look out for:
Poor shower head
If your shower head is clogged up with limescale, has corroded or has just seen better days then it is time to invest in a new one. There are so many types you can choose from today – drench effect, high pressure or rainforest effect. Which one you go for is totally up to you.
Low water pressure
If you have low water pressure then even the most high-tech, expensive pieces of equipment will not perform as they should. Low water pressure can be caused by a number of reasons including the wrong pipe size or old pipes. If you think your pressure could do with a boost, speak with an expert to rectify the problem.
Clingy shower curtain
Ever feel like your shower curtain is a bit needy? If you have a shower curtain that is constantly clinging to your legs then it can seriously spoil your shower. If this sounds familiar, then it’s time to invest in a new one. Go for a heavier curtain that is designed to withstand the “blow-in” effect, or better still opt for a glass shower screen.
Slow-draining shower base
When your shower does not drain as it should then it can mean you are standing in a pool of dirty water. Check that the drainage is clear of blockages on a regular basis to ensure fast flowing water.
Leaks
There are certain places that can spring a leak in a shower – the pipes, the shower head, the enclosure or the shower curtain. Check for leaks and replace or repair where necessary.
By maintaining your shower and bath or enclosure you will be sure to have the perfect shower every time.
