And the Oscar goes to… McDonald’s

Stanstead Airport’s McDonald’s Restaurant scoops the award for Loo of the Year 2014, these awards are the equivalent of the Oscars for public toilets.

The nomination for loo of the year can come from customers, visitors, staff or management and the inspection is consequently carried out by an independent judge whereby the toilets are scored in a variety of categories including cleanliness, facilities, maintenance, and fixtures and fittings.

Clean and well maintained services help to make customers’ visits more pleasant as they contribute to the overall experience. No one wants to use unclean toilets and they can also reflect badly on the whole establishment as visitors question the cleanliness of kitchens and food storage areas.
